Term and Conditions 

Terms and conditions set out the expectations for both the client and the therapist. They make sure that both parties are protected if any disagreements occur. If you have any queries about these terms and conditions, please discuss them with me before agreeing to them. 

Initial assessment 

Assessment takes place in the client’s home, educational setting or online. It will usually last about an hour. If a more detailed assessment is necessary, this may be scheduled for a later date and will be discussed with you. Assessment sessions are charged at £70 per hour. 

Therapy sessions 

Therapy sessions will last between 30-60 minutes and are charged at £70 per hour. The most suitable session duration will be discussed and agreed in advance. The cost covers time for planning the session and writing case notes following the session. Where the client is a child under 13 a parent or carer is expected to be present for the duration of the session and take an active part where required. The session will consist of therapy activities and time for discussion. 

Letters, Reports and Treatment Programmes 

These will only be written at your request and charged at £70 per hour. Lengthy telephone conversations will be charged at an hourly rate at the therapist’s discretion and, where possible, you will be advised in advance. 

Travel

Travel under 10 miles (both ways between the therapist's home and destination) are not chargeable. Over 10 miles travel is charged at 50p per mile (each way) which includes fuel and travel time. This will be agreed with you in advance.

Cancellation Policy 

 

If you cancel the session with less than 12 hours notice you will be liable to the full charge of the session fee. 


Payment 

 

Payment is made at the time of booking online. Alternatively you may choose to ‘pay in person’ in which case an invoice will be sent to you prior to the session. Payment should be completed within 24 hours of the session. 

 

Record Keeping and Data Protection

 

Confidential case notes will be held about the client, in order to plan therapy and monitor progress. This information will be kept up to date, safe and secure, in line with my responsibilities under the Data Protection Act. More information can be found in the privacy policy below. 

 

Complaints

 

Most complaints can be resolved by communicating directly. Please contact me if you are concerned or unsatisfied in any way.
